Explore Prishtina
One of Europe's youngest capitals, and one of its most interesting. Prishtina is a city that moves fast, drinks strong coffee, and has something genuine to say.
From Trannit Stays, most of the city's highlights are a short walk away. Here is everything worth knowing before and during your stay.
Why Prishtina?
Prishtina became the capital of an independent Kosovo in 2008, making it one of the world's newest capital cities. But the city itself has deep historical roots: it has been a trading post, an Ottoman centre, a Yugoslav city, and now a rapidly developing European capital.
What visitors often find surprising is the energy. Young, educated, and outward-looking, the city has a creative class that has fuelled an explosion of cafes, art spaces, and independent businesses. The coffee culture alone is worth the trip.
It is also genuinely affordable, genuinely friendly, and genuinely worth more than a night. Most guests who plan two days end up staying three.
